We said goodbye to Jay today which was difficult (it always is) but made harder by the fact that we had to keep our emotions somewhat in check for Jack's sake. Jack, on the other hand, seems sort of blissfully ignorant as to how long daddy's "long trip" really is and I think this is a good thing!

My sister's husband was in the Navy too, so I know what a family sacrifice it is. Looks like Jack is a very well adjusted child so you must be making all the right decisions in information...sending best wishes!
Have been thinking about you. Know this must be a tough time but you will handle it well.
Sending love to you all.

I've been thinking about you every day. I hope you're holding up ok. Wish we were closer, but I can't wait to see you and the kids this summer!
Love, L
Makes me so proud. I remember when Jay was first in Scouts. Now, he is an officer and a gentleman, and a super dad.
